I hope you have a chance this month to pick up your copy of Mens Fitness magazine, Your boy Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is gracing the cover and revealing what he is calling The Situation’s secret exercise.

I just read his recent article that was published for People Magazine… ”

In the article he goes over what he considers his Ab training secret, now i must be honest he does what is called Isometric Exercises.These have been around since the early days of weight training

Isometrics are really a very simple exercise and can be done any where, in short all they are is flexing your muscle for a certain period of time, So if you wanted to do isometrics for your abs you would simply flex your ab muscles and hold for roughly 30 seconds to a minute and repeat for around 5 sets.

The Situation’s 8 Fit Rules:

1) Eat every few hours. Aim for six small meals per day—three meals and three Protein Shakes.

2) Drink tons of water.

3) Choose lean proteins, fruits, and veggies whenever you can.

4) Get six to eight hours of sleep. “Sleep is when your body grows and repairs itself,” he says.

5) Avoid simple carbs and junk calories, including condiments like mayo and jelly.

6) Approach fitness as a longterm lifestyle, not an instant transformation. Be dedicated, patient, and work hard for it.

7) Make working out your No. 1 commitment, because it builds the confidence and discipline you need to succeed in every domain of your life.

8) Give yourself one “cheat day” per week when you can eat whatever you want and recover from your training.
